Example use cases

The suite of services offered by CoKeeps provides the essential building blocks to develop a wide range of solutions tailored to your needs. Whether you are building a fintech application, a platform that embeds digital assets into an existing product, or any other project that requires secure wallet infrastructure, CoKeeps enables you to focus on your core business and operations while we handle the wallet and security layer. Our platform is designed to support organisations of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises. Below, we highlight some example use cases that we have supported:

Digital Asset Exchange (DAX)

CoKeeps can be used as the wallet and custody backbone for a centralised cryptocurrency exchange serving both desktop and mobile users. Your platform focuses on order books, pricing, KYC, and business logic, while CoKeeps manages addresses, keys, and on-chain transactions through a combination of Cold Wallet, Hot Wallet, and custodial services.

Retail users receive unique deposit addresses for the supported network-native assets and tokens. They can:

  • Deposit by sending assets from external wallets to these addresses, or
  • On-ramp by buying assets via your fiat rails, then holding them in your platform or withdrawing to an external address.

Behind the scenes, most deposited assets are periodically swept into high-security multi-signature Holding accounts, managed by your designated signers and, where applicable, CoKeeps as a regulated custodian. To support fast withdrawals, a portion of these assets is transferred from Holding accounts into machine-managed Withdrawal accounts, allowing your backend to process approved withdrawals quickly while still maintaining strong governance and segregation of duties.

If you prefer to manage all flows from your own admin interface, you can integrate directly with the CoKeeps Hot Wallet API and CKSDK, keeping the operational experience fully embedded in your platform while CoKeeps continues to handle wallet and security operations in the background.

Initial Exchange Offering (IEO)

An IEO setup with CoKeeps is structurally similar to the DAX model: CoKeeps provides the wallet, custody, and transaction layer, while your platform handles the business logic, user onboarding, and campaign flow.

Using the CoKeeps Smart Contract module, you can issue and manage all tokens under your responsibility for the duration of the campaign. Tokens can be:

  • Deployed via CoKeeps using our smart contract tooling, or
  • Imported if the token issuer deploys the smart contract themselves. In that case, you can import the contract into CoKeeps Wallet and interact with it using any CoKeeps single- or multi-signature account.

By assigning multi-signature accounts to administrative roles on the token smart contract, you can implement a maker-checker governance model for critical actions such as minting, pausing, or upgrading. Specific addresses (or roles) can be granted permission to perform specific functions, and those actions then require multiple approvals before execution.

All smart contract interactions (e.g., token minting, allocation, vesting triggers) can be initiated either:

  • Directly from the CoKeeps Wallet interface, or
  • From your own administration platform by integrating with the CoKeeps Hot Wallet and CKSDK, keeping operational control inside your existing back office tools.

For the end-user experience, you can provide desktop, web, or mobile applications through which users subscribe to the IEO. After a successful campaign, distribution of tokens to your users' externally owned accounts (EOAs) can be executed using the Batch Transfers feature from the Cold Wallet, allowing you to perform large-scale payouts in a cost-efficient manner while still applying any necessary internal checks or audit procedures before broadcasting the transactions on-chain.

Token Issuers

CoKeeps Wallet supports smart contract deployment on supported blockchain networks, enabling you to tokenise any asset according to your campaign or product requirements. During deployment, you can define all key parameters (such as supply, decimals, roles, and permissions) to tailor the token to your specific use case.

Using multi-signature accounts as administrative owners of the smart contract, critical token methods such as minting, burning, pausing, or any other privileged function can be gated behind multiple approvals. This creates strong governance controls and prevents any single individual from unilaterally performing sensitive actions.

If you prefer to onboard customers into your token campaign through your own desktop, web, or mobile applications, you can integrate seamlessly with CoKeeps Hot Wallet and CKSDK. This lets your users interact with your token (for example, subscribing, receiving distributions, or transferring tokens) while CoKeeps provides the secure wallet, signing, and on-chain execution layer in the background.

Custodians & Trustees

By leveraging CoKeeps technology, you can focus on your core fiduciary and business responsibilities while delegating the operational complexity of digital asset management to CoKeeps. With multiple service tiers and deployment models, CoKeeps Wallet can support most custodial workflows from key management and policy enforcement to reporting and audit support.

If you are a service provider looking to expand your offerings, our white-label program allows you to deliver CoKeeps-powered custody and wallet infrastructure under your own brand, elevating your capabilities without rebuilding the stack from scratch.

Asset Manager

As an asset manager, you can use CoKeeps to streamline day-to-day operations while scaling your services securely. Multi-signature accounts and policy rules let you tailor controls to your business requirements such as configuring roles, approval thresholds, and stakeholder sign-off workflows to match your internal governance.

With the Hot Wallet and CKSDK, you can automate most operational processes or trigger actions directly from your own platform, such as rebalancing, distributions, or redemptions.

CoKeeps also provides detailed reporting on asset movements, helping you generate clear, auditable reports for your clients. Contact whitelisting further reduces operational risk by ensuring transfers are only sent to approved addresses, mitigating both human error and man-in-the-middle style modifications to destination details.
